There was a council meeting scheduled. GF had to leave Worcester early enough to get to the 7pm meeting. Having started early, it was no problem leaving early and so he headed off down the motorways.
It was wet and visibility was poor.
Now the Gorse Fox would observe that he rarely, if ever, sees a police traffic car. This journey was the exception... on the 170 mile journey he passed 5 separate "incidents" and saw a total of 14 police vehicles dealing with, or chasing other vehicles.
Sally Traffic piped up "A27 Arundel By-Pass closed both ways due to a serious accident". Gorse Fox had time to adjust the planned route and avoid the area.
4 hours later he arrived home (the journey having taken an hour longer than usual), and 15 minutes later he was in the Council chamber.
