We were up early for Ellie's drop-off. She was bubbly as usual and ready for breakfast. I left her in Di's capable hands and went up for my shower. We walked Ellie to school and I then peeled off for my morning walk.
Diane was going out to meet a friend for coffee. I stayed put and made a start on the Christmas cards (a bit late, you may well say). Cards were a mix of atoms (physical cards) and bits (eCards). We haven't finished the list yet, but we are nearly finished.
I did manage to sneak out for a walk and to get my hair cut before lunch. There was no time for Kindles today so we continued with the cards until it was time to collect Ellie from school.
When Ellie came out from class, she was very pale and hadn't been feeling well. The school (claimed) they had tried to call Zoe, but there was no "missed call" on either of her phones and Diane and I had been available all day and could have been at the school within 5 minutes if needed.
Zoe collected Ellie and we have just heard that she has been on the phone with 111. They want Ellie seen by a clinician, so we await the outcome. The phone rang. It was Zoe. They want Ellie to be taken to A&E. Nana has grabbed the keys, her Kindle, a battery charger and her phone, and disappeared in a cloud of dust to collect Zoe and Ellie. She will keep me updated; meanwhile, I will slump in an armchair a read my Kindle.
