Nurse!

I was up early to greet Ellie when she was dropped off. Unfortunately, she wasn't feeling well and her school attendance was touch and go, today! After a cuddle with Grandpa, she went up to see Nana (who was also feeling a bit rough). As the early morning procedures continued, it became clear that school was not going to work.

Diane had plans for the morning - she was meeting Pauline for lunch in Arundel. I stayed put so that I could look after Ellie. We completed her homework, and then she read 4 books to me. With that complete, she started on her Times Tables. Soon after she was finished, Zoe turned up to collect her and take her home. I grabbed my coat and headed out for a walk. It was well-needed, and I should have walked further but bladder pressure provided a certain impetus to head home.

After some lunch, I settled down for some Kindle time before returning to my quandary over the bookshelves. Emails had come back from suppliers showing the weight limits for the shelf supports. Unfortunately, they were clearly not suitable for the weight of the books we have (currently 26kgs).

Diane got back from Arundel late in the afternoon and suggested a different solution for the books. I have called it Plan "D" and that will have to be the subject of another day's research.
