Fans

The fans were gathered in their sections – the Spanish fans down one end, and the England fans taking over the rest of the stadium

The red and yellow of Spain stood out in the sea of white created by the England supporters. The Spanish were vocal and good humoured and there was a buzz about the place.
When it came time for the National Anthems there was a respectful silence, and for the English anthem, coloured cards were raised to form the Cross of St George
