Nice quiet day starting with more work on the Gorse Fox's case for recertification. Then a few chores were required and a trip around the DIY shops. We need to consider a new porch and had to look at some door styles and get a view as to what would make most sense.
Leaving the DIY store we went into Currys to look at new fridges for mother-in-law. What really interested the Gorse Fox was the argument going on between a couple with a faulty phone and the management who were refusing to honour the terms of the insurance policy because their particular model was no longer available. This is the sort of disgraceful behaviour The Gorse Fox has witnessed so often at Currys and Dixons... And they wonder why he always refuses the extortionate insurance.
Whilst there, Silver Vixen saw a vacuum cleaner that she liked and by buying one we could leave one upstairs and leave the other downstairs. With her mobility problems, this makes a great deal of sense. What made the Gorse Fox chuckle was the advertising flash on the box proclaiming the cleaner had "Autosave". Now, GF has seen word processors, spreadsheets, and presentation tools with Autosave, but this is the first vacuum cleaner. He assumes it saves all the dirt so that it can be restarted if it fails or needs to be rebooted.
