Chatting

The Gorse Fox, finally got home after three or four days in London. The Silver Vixen was kind enough to meet him at the station. A plate of sushi and a glass of wine seemed the perfect welcome home. The software Which he had been waiting had arrived in his absence.

This will be the first thing he would do when he logs on in the morning. Hopefully, this will be a useful addition to his arsenal of software and will help him in the task of writing the various response documents that will be required over the next few weeks.
This blog entry has been dictated using Dragon NaturallySpeaking and so far it seems to be quite a useful tool.

Is it better than the IBM effort (ViaVoice) - if you've had the chance to compare ?? Last time I tried VV it wasn't that great, although I'm sure a westcountry accent doesn't help. DD has always been the strongest of the two. Do tell more as you use it. I might give it another go if it's improved.

GF is very impressed so far (and yes can compare as he was a ViaVoice user on his old PC).
He has used it most of the day so far and found the accuracy to be very good and has used it to edit OpenOffice and MS Word documents as well as the odd Gmail, Buzz, and Twitter.

Looking at some of the features and interfaces within DNS it seems very likely that some of ViaVoice has been embedded into the DNS engine (which makes sense as GF believes IBM sold or licensed the VV technology to Dragon).
