I was up soon after 7:00 and sat reading the news with my coffee until Diane came down. After a shower, I wandered around to Zoe's to join the walk to school. With Ellie dropped off at the classroom, Zoe headed home and I went for my early morning walk. There had been rain overnight, but it was dry and warming up nicely as I walked and listened to my audiobook.
Back home, I had breakfast and got on with some chores and admin. Late morning, I set out for another walk so that I could pick up some meds for Diane as I passed through the village. As we are approaching a short vacation, it goes without saying that some of the meds have not been prescribed. I pointed out that we were going away, hence the "early" request for one of the tablets. The pharmacist immediately submitted an urgent request and assured us that she would email us when it had been filled.
We had a very quiet afternoon in the Orangery with our books.
Zoe has been talking about going away with Ellie in the summer, so I spent some time looking for a suitable break for them (assuming Diane would travel with them). I sent her a suggestion, but have no idea whether it will pass muster.
