Gentle start to the day - Jasper didn't drag the Gorse Fox from bed until just after seven. That's acceptable. It was clearly going to be a lovely day again.
The Gorse Fox headed out to the workshop. There were three planters that needed oiling. It didn't take too long to get a couple of coats applied, though there were several stops for coffee and to chat with the neighbours. The last of these chats proved useful as, between us, Two Hats and the Gorse Fox came up with a modification to our respective garages that would allow greater weight to be stored in the roof space, and in the case of the Gorse Fox allow a fixing point for one of the pulleys. The best part is that the Gorse Fox already has sufficient timber to complete this for both garages.
Urban-Cub arrived late morning with Ellie. While she was feeding, the Silver Vixen and the Gorse Fox spent some time placing the new planters and moving the various plants around. In the end we are both very pleased with the results. (See photo)
After a light lunch out in the garden we sat and enjoyed the garden, bathed as it was in sunshine. There was a cool breeze, but it was delightful just to sit and soak it all in.
(This despite a neighbour cutting paving slabs with a big grinder... we were just far enough away that the noise wasn't too bad and the drifting dust was going in the opposite direction).
After a while we took Ellie out for a walk around the development.
