Though we didn't have to get up early, we were expecting Ellie to be dropped off before 10:00. When she arrived, she was in a bit of a mood. She wanted to stay at home, not come to us. It was understandable because she's hardly been at home over the half term break. I agreed to take her home and sit with her for a couple of hours, and Di agreed to come and relieve me when she was ready. This worked well as Ellie spent most of the day at home.
I came back and spent the afternoon cooking. The first task was to get a batch of "Grandpa's Curry Sauce" prepared for Ellie's dinner. After that, I roasted some pork, cooked some rice, roasted some potatoes and carrots, and then prepared the vegetables. Di and Ellie arrived back in time for dinner and we put some to one side for Zoe for when she came to collect Ellie.
There's not much else to report.
