Ah ha! It seems that the Gorse Fox's "mail-in" setting had been changed in the Blog. This explains several recent problems he's had whilst "mobile". Hopefully this is now sorted. It will be nice when Blogger and Google+ are better integrated, and when the native IOS app is available. There are several aspects of the Safari implementation of G+ that the Gorse Fox finds impenetrable. The Google+ project is currently working out all the kinks with a small group of testers.
