It was after 7:00 when I finally got up, having enjoyed a pleasant lie-in. Coffee was brewed, overnight news consumed, and then I made tea for Diane who was moving around upstairs.
Nine o'clock saw the usual call with the cousins. There is a family lunch scheduled for a couple of weeks' time and I was asked to re-run my seat allocation programme with the new attendee list. (Which I have subsequently done). There was also some advice from Chris regarding visiting Basel (which we will do soon) and a discussion regarding river cruises and their cost.
After the call the morning was spent on a thousand and one little items that I wanted to clear; these included pressing some new trousers, recharging several battery packs, recharging the front door camera, cleaning the camera that overlooks the driveway, and loads of other bits and pieces.
After some lunch, I booked our railway tickets for the trip to London for the family lunch and then walked into Bognor Regis to collect the tickets from the station. It was a lovely afternoon for walking. ~The temperature was in the high teens and there was no breeze. Back home, an hour or so later, I settled down for a little Kindle time before retiring to the kitchen to make up a batch of curry. One portion was my supper and two further portions are tucked away in the freezer.
