Keys

The day started gently. There was no alarm, nor imperative to get up. Nature took its course and I pottered down for coffee at about 7:30. Once Di had come down (and I had made her tea), I showered then prepared for my call with the cousins. The call seemed to focus on travel today, with my background photo of Athens and Simon explaining he had just booked a holiday there. Tim, still reeling from Angela Rayner’s resignation, was very quiet today. It didn’t seem fair to rub it in when he had been hammered down at the local pub last night.

The rest of the morning was spent firstly turning a ChatGPT discussion about petrol, hybrid, plug-in hybrid, and electric cars into a consumable document that I can review at leisure. Then I had to look at Di’s iPad because the keyboard seemed to have lost its connection. This turned out to be a marathon and in the end, I had to admit defeat. I ordered a replacement keyboard, but switched my keyboard to Di’s iPad for now. I am making do with my little foldable keyboard while we await delivery. While on the subject of keyboards, Ellie’s keyboard hasn’t been working properly, with some keys not responding at all. I went to Zoe’s to take a look, but could not solve the problem (it was that sort of morning!). Her iPad is quite old, as a result there are quite a few inexpensive keyboards still available. I ordered a keyboard for her, too.

The afternoon was spent on the Kindle while Di continued her sewing project. I managed to finish another book.

A week or so back I ordered some “East at Home” curry sauces. They come in pouches and are available for several recipes. Tonight, I fried some fresh chicken pieces and then added the Jalfrezi sauce. I could tell, as soon as I opened the pouch, that it was going to be good. It was. In fact, it was exceptional… and I have enough left over for another meal.
