Latest news on the saga of the VW. Local garage has just called. They have stripped the engine right down, and discovered a small crack. They are ordering a replacement engine from VW, which should arrive late next week.
That's a relief. The fault has been found, and they are not messing around... they are replacing the whole thing. Assuming all goes to plan, that's a result!
