Doorbell

 We had a lazy start to the day, Zoe was off so Ellie was leaving from home. I was up, however, at seven and enjoying my first coffee when the doorbell rang. I answered the door in my PJs to find the Postman standing there with a package that wasn't due until this afternoon. The package contained some new saucepans to replace the old John Lewis set that was rapidly deteriorating.

Once showered and dressed, I headed to Zoe's and joined the walk to school before heading out for my walk. This followed my usual route, but I added an extra 500m to the route as I was within a few minutes of the end of my audiobook and was desperate to hear the end.

Once home, I had breakfast and headed out to Sainsbury's for our weekly shop. Our usual list was enhanced with some stuff for Zoe. Sainsbury's seemed remarkably busy for a Wednesday, but somehow I managed to retain my equanimity.

After lunch, we enjoyed some Kindle time before Diane went to meet with Zoe and collect Ellie.
