Diane was feeling under the weather with symptoms of a cold. I was up early for Ellie's drop-off. We completed the usual daily pre-school protocol and I marched off to school with Ellie at the appropriate time. I didn't have to insist that Diane stayed behind. she had already declared she wasn't leaving the house. After dropping Ellie, I headed off for my usual walk.
Back home, I grabbed breakfast and Di went back up to bed. I had a quiet morning working on next year's accounting spreadsheet. When that was done, I retrieved the Xmas card list and performed the first set of updates for this year. I also went through my "E-Card" account to update the various email addresses that had changed this year and to update the group lists.
Di hadn't managed to sleep but did rest throughout the morning. She pottered downstairs and after a cup of tea, I started on some soup for lunch and when we were finished, we settled down for some Kindle time before I went to collect Ellie.
Diane had managed to find a suitable bookcase online. We debated whether it would fit and address our storage issue. It isn't perfect, but it is the best option we have found. I went ahead and placed an order. Hopefully, this will be delivered early next week.
