Ellie was dropped off soon after 7:00. She seemed distracted this morning and needed to be cajoled into eating her breakfast as she was more interested in colouring some pictures. We dropped her off at school then headed home.
The Silver Vixen had a coffee appointment with one of her friends and the Gorse Fox had football. This meant the car dance was required so that the Gorse Fox could take his car. The game was a pleasant 7-v-7. Initial assessment of the teams led the Gorse Fox to expect a fairly torrid time and an ultimate loss. That wasn't, however, the way it worked out. We defended resolutely and passed the ball around well. We managed to keep a clean sheet, but, despite missing several open goals, managed to score 2 of our own. Overall, it was a very enjoyable game.
This afternoon has been quiet. Ellie went back to Urban-Cub after school but has just been dropped off for the night as Urban-Cub is on early shift in the morning.
