Last game

It was thrashing down with rain when the Gorse Fox got up. He had football scheduled, but was wondering whether to get a snorkel and mask to go with some fins rather than use the more conventional football kit.

The rain continued right up to his arrival at the sports centre - then it stopped and stayed clear until after the game. Today worked out as a 5-v-4 match on one of the smaller pitches. The Gorse Fox was on the 4-team playing in yellow. As always when playing in the cages, it was quick and relentless. The Gorse Fox got the first goal on the scoreboard and we went in 4-2 up at half time. The second half was hard, but our mobility and passing won the day and the Gorse Fox thinks that the final score was about 10-4 (with 3 from the Gorse Fox).

This was the last game for the year so the Gorse Fox checked his stats and found that he has played 88 times this year and score 87 goals. Note to self: must try harder.

The afternoon was a very domestic affair... we went and did the Christmas food shopping. The Gorse Fox was expecting bedlam, but must admit it was completely painless and trouble-free. Indeed we walked straight to an open till when we were finished. Goodness knows how she has done it, but somehow the Silver Vixen has managed to hide it all away until next week.
