Domestic day

It's been a grey, dark, and occasionally wet day. It has, however, been quite mild.

There were no firm plans for the day as an appointment the Gorse Fox had arranged in Chichester had been rearranged yesterday afternoon. The morning was spent in expectation of the Ocado order (who says oldies can't have fun).

Once the shopping was stowed away the Gorse Fox got the Karcher hard floor cleaner out and went through to clean and wash the floors downstairs then wandered round with the Dyson to vacuum the carpets. (In this house, the fun never stops... he should have checked his heart rate to make sure he wasn't having too much fun).

After lunch the Gorse Fox volunteered to walk round to the doctor's to collect the Silver Vixen's prescription and have it filled at the pharmacy - taking the opportunity to pop in to the Post Office and get some cards and parcels in the mail. His timing was less than perfect. He had hardly turned the first corner before it started to rain. It was that fine, soaking, drizzly rain. It was horrid. His glasses were stowed into his pocket and the hood went up on his jacket. Bt=y the time he got to the surgery he was pretty wet.

His walk was made more interesting by the use, once again, of his bluetooth headset and the continuation of the book he is listening to on Audible. It's been a while since he's made use of Audible, and he had forgotten how good it is when you have time to listen. The Gorse Fox will have to ensure that the Silver Vixen listens to the current book as he's sure she'll enjoy it (even if it isn't as gruesome and gory as her usual fare).
