Half well oiled

After yesterday's rain, today started bright but chilly. The forecast was good - with lots of sun across most of the country.

The Gorse Fox had his Sunday appointment with football. We had a good turn out and managed 6-a-side. The Gorse Fox was on the yellow team this week. A quick look at the teams and they looked pretty well matched. The Gorse Fox's team were a bit more clinical, however, and were soon in the lead. The Gorse Fox hit the crossbar a couple of times, the post once, forced an own goal and scored two himself. He was quite happy with proceedings and we ran out 7-4 winners.

Back home the Silver Vixen was pottering in the garden. (Well, pottering in the pots actually as most of our flora is displayed in pots). This had been on her agenda for a few days, but starting in the front she was interrupted by various neighbours for a chat. It took her a while to escape and move round to the back garden (which is in the sun a lot warmer).

The Gorse Fox made use of the good weather and dug out the decking oil. Knee-pads on and brush in hand he set about the deck - starting with half the dining deck (the other half hadn't totally dried out from yesterdays rain) and then the verandah. It only took a couple of hours or so. If the forecast is accurate, it should be nice again tomorrow and he will then complete the dining deck and move on to the sun (utility) deck.

Does burying the decking oil improve it?!

Lol... yes it also saves storage space in the garage.
