Doing the annual self-assessment for Her Majesty's Revenue and Customs is always a chore - though, to be fair, a chore that takes a lot less time that you expect. The Gorse Fox has just completed the self-assessment. He is worried. The automatic calculations estimate that HMRC owes the Gorse Fox some money. This is unheard of. He has been back through the calculations and understands that mathematics - but not the source of the "over payment" that has evidently occurred.
