Burning driftwood

Another super day in Thailand. The sky remained almost cloudless, and the temperature soared. The plan for Cousteau-cub and the Coventry Hobbit to join us didn't come to fruition until late in the day as they had need delayed at work.

The Silver Vixen and Urban-cub spent a lot of time in the pool doing the hydrotherapy exercises assigned back home. The Gorse Fox headed for the sea and spent some time drifting about in the surf and managing to find the one rock on the beach on which to stub his toe.

When they did turn up they came clutching the dogs and a BBQ. (This, the Gorse Fox should explain, was carted across on their motor bikes). After some pool time we collected driftwood and lit the grill. Cousteau-cub headed to the market and came back clutching prawns, fish, sausages, fruit and goodness knows what else.

As the sun went down the food was prepared and we settled in for a poolside BBQ with the surf as a backing soundtrack.
