Makeover
The Gorse Fox thought, that after nearly 6 years of this blog, it may be time for a makeover. So he’s switched the background themes and screen layout. He may change it further, but thought this would be an interesting start.
That's fine... The old one was clean and fairly quick to load (at least initially)... and it had been modified to use relative instead of fixed spacing.
Not sure GF can be bothered to worry about that again, but it did have the advantage of adapting to the window geometry.
Some of the new themes on blogger are quite nice, though it would be nice to be able to choose from your own images to select the background.
I could ask my significant other (who has a degree in these things) to explain specifically why this change is visually cluttered and distracts from the content - but she's not around, so I'll just have to post my gut reaction: I hate it!

Sorry you don't like the new layout. I may change it again soon to see if it is any better - but most verbal feedback has been positive.
