Language

The Gorse Fox spent an hour or so on the phone to Starfleet's lab in China. This is likely to become a more regular occurrence. The problem is that it is evident that people in China are brought up using some local language and seem to have their own words for everything. Fortunately the chap that was speaking has made an effort to rearn rudimentary Engrish but speaks it with an barely penetrable accent and it did mean that the significant effort was required by the listener to match the sounds to words.

It would be so much easier if all the nations of the world would just standardize on English.

Dear Mexican,
The Gorse Fox instructs me to to let you know that he too misses the soirees at the local hostelries and restaurants. He trusts that you and your good lady and fine offspring are all keeping well.
He will indeed let you know if he plans to be in the area - and is in fact hopeful that the opportunity may arise quite soon as he finds that he he has a regular need to visit the western extremities of Birmingham.
