Turning South-East

About a quarter of a mile from the car, the Gorse Fox turned south-east past Big Bottom.
The start of a walk is always a time of optimism, and GF has a spring in his step. He strode forth purposefully and was delighted to see a number of youngsters struggling as they approached from the opposite direction. The smile was soon wiped from his face though, when a chap who must have been in late 60's sprinted up the hill in the opposite direction and yelled a cheery "Hello, lovely day!".

At the bottom of the slope the valley opened out.

Old farm "sculpture" dominated a small fenced off area.
