Patching - Ditchling Beacon

The Gorse Fox chose, for his walk, a fairly unadventurous route starting near Patching.

Parking the car at the bottom point of the map (TQ 302 064) the plan was a clockwise route, passing the Indian War Memorial, the Pycombe Golf Course, up to the Jack and Jill windmills (TQ 304 133) at Clayton.

The route then turns east and walks along the crest of the escarpment, looking down to the North over the Sussex Weald. At Ditchling Beacon, the route turns south and then south-west as it loops back through Lower Standean and back to the starting point.
