En route

Travelling is always interesting... today was no different.

On the first train, GF sat opposite an elderly Irish gent, with a parting carved with the help of a ruler and a quiff that seemed to defy gravity. He started patting his pockets and looked mildly disconcerted as he emptied and checked them one by one. The cause of his concern soon becazme apparent as the Gorse Fox pointed out several wads of 20 and 50 pound notes that had fallen beneath his seat.

When buying his ticket, GF surprised by the price, asked if there were any restrictions on it. He was assured not. As long as he left Euston by 16:30. This was, of course, claptrap and GF had to pay the difference when he got to the barrier to board the train.

The train is a Pendolino tilting train and should take him from London to Stockport in 2 hours. Impressive.
