Puerto del Vino

We had timed tickets for our entry to the Nasrid Palaces, and still had some time to go lose.

Passing through the Puerto del Vinos we found our way towrads the Alcazabar.

Outside the Alcazabar is an open space like a small parade ground. A welcoming booth offered the visitor reviving drafts of water, juice or beer. They also sold ice cream.

So, we stood on the parade ground outside the Alcazabar, and ate ice creams while waiting for our entrance time to the Palace itself. Thirty four degree heat does not mix well with chocolate covered ice creams. Great flakes of dark chocolate peeled off and fell to the floor.

Betty Rubble was concerned about a miniscule fleck that had fallen on her blouse... and it was then that the GF realised he had dropped a huge piece of chocolate that had wedged behind his camera case and wiped itself profusely across his shirt as the camera swung back and forth around his neck.

For the second time this day he was pilloried(*).

Water was tipped from drinking bottles, and the Silver Vixen's almost endless supply of paper tissues raided as the (messy) Gorse Fox smeared the chocolate even further across his shirt. Eventually, some semblance of order was restored and the tour continued

* Quite derservingly, some would say!
