Last night the Gorse Fox attended a formal dinner. This was held in a huge marquee in the garden of a vineyard up near Stellenbosch. We were greeted with cocktails on the lawn accompanied by a band. The lawns were surrounded by huge trees, illuminated with uplighters against the African night.

Food was excellent and at the end of the meal they brought on a salsa troupe and Cuban-style band to provide entertainment and dancing. The Gorse Fox, being a man of great decorum, declined the opportunity to show off his silky moves on the dance floor and sat chattng with various colleagues.

By catching the early bus, he was back in the hotel by 1 a.m. though is sure many of his colleagues would have remained until the bitter end... but given that we have a full day of events again today, that seems a little reckless.

Though 24 hours still to go, GF needs to pack. Check-out is 05:30 tomorrow, and there is a big party tonight. With a full day planned, it seems sensible to prepare now!
