Sussex Walk: Peppering Farm

This is the route chosen by the Gorse Fox for today's walk.

Starting at the south-west corner of the map, in the carr park at Burpham, the route loops ant-clockwise through Wepham and over New Down before turning north-east. It hugs Tenantry Copse before turning North past the The Gallops, and across Wepham Down. Bearing north-east it heads for Kitehurst Hill where it picks up the South Downs Way.

Following the SDW westwards the route cross Spinghead Hill, then at Cross Dyke bears south-west towards the The Burgh (and nearby tumuli). Near Peppering High Barn the route makes a steep descent and follows the path north-west, then south-west and makes sharp trun south-east towards Peppering Farm, and back to the start at Burpham.
