Gorse Fox had to abandon the glories of Sussex for a drive up to Worcester late on Sunday. It had been a great weekend, made better by the defeat of the Forces of Darkness in the Community Shield.

The reality of travelling on Sunday evening is that there tends to be less lorries on the road, but in contrast there are extra cars (driven by people who should never be allowed out of their drive). Chichester is one of the areas that always seems to grind to a halt. The ridiculous situation is made worse by the fact all road improvement schemes for this stretch of road were cancelled by the Odious Deputy Prime Minister. On a Sunday evening then, the answere turns out to be to drive through the town centre rather than use the by-pass. Ironic really, to alleviate congestion avoid the route that was originally built to alleviate congestion. - Hey ho! I bet they have some wonderful dual-carriageway cart-tracks for the people of Hull.

GF is staying at Tewkesbury Park Hotell & Country Club for a few days. A Splendid old manor house perched on top of a hill and surroundd by a golf course. Exceptional views, in all directions, make the location very special.
