The rooms in the George Hotel are really quite quaint. The floors warp and twist over the ancient beams, and in the room where GF & SV stayed was this exquisite four-poster bed. On the wall was a plaque expaining that when Queen Elizabeth I visited Cranbrook, she retired to the George Inn, and indeed slept in the very bed to be graced this night by the exquisite Silver Vixen.[File under: Cranbrook]
