Finally back down onto tarmac the intrepid companions could walk normally past Coldharbour Farm and Glattins Farm. We were on the last leg of the journey.

By this time conversation had turned to one of GF's pet subjects. Respect for the Individual. No doubt this will surface again, but we'll leave this for now.
