leaving the car park GF hunted around for the right track and headed off NW then turned SW running alongside this copse.
At the bootom GF turned west and plunged into an area of the copse near Cote Bottom. (GF will probably return to the subject of bottoms... there seem to be an endless supply of bottoms on the OS Maps of the Downs).
